When I think of Vietnam I’ve always imagined people working on the streets, wooden houses, crazy traffic, colorful markets, kids in conical hats, tasty food, so doing a trip to the Mekong Delta Region was a must for me.
A day in Vietnam – Exploring the Mekong River
Due to the timing (we had only 27 hours in Vietnam), we choose to do a private tour with a local guide named Tien. He is a really sweet guy, super friendly and really eager to make us happy.
Also, we visited a coconut candy factory and got the chance to try some of the candies and coconut wine.
After that, we climbed into those really tiny sampan boats, conicals hats on. This part of the tour was definitely my favorite: I enjoyed cruising in this small river and how quiet it was.
